Butter Chicken
Description
Creamy tomato-based chicken curry with butter and spices—deliciously rich comfort food.
Ingredients
- 500 g boneless chicken, cubed
- 2 tbsp butter + 1 tbsp oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp paprika
- 4 tbsp tomato paste (or tomato sauce)
- 1 cup cream (or half-and-half or yogurt)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Make doughCook aromatics: heat butter + oil; sauté onion, garlic, ginger until soft.
- Spice it up: add garam masala, cumin, paprika; stir 1 min.
- Add chicken: toss in chicken pieces; cook until exterior is lightly browned.
- Tomato base: stir in tomato paste, cook ~2–3 min.
- Creamy finish: pour in cream, simmer 5–7 min till sauce thickens.
- Season & serve: adjust salt and pepper. Serve with rice or naan.
