Butter Chicken

Description

Creamy tomato-based chicken curry with butter and spices—deliciously rich comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 500 g boneless chicken, cubed
  • 2 tbsp butter + 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp paprika
  • 4 tbsp tomato paste (or tomato sauce)
  • 1 cup cream (or half-and-half or yogurt)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Make doughCook aromatics: heat butter + oil; sauté onion, garlic, ginger until soft.
  2. Spice it up: add garam masala, cumin, paprika; stir 1 min.
  3. Add chicken: toss in chicken pieces; cook until exterior is lightly browned.
  4. Tomato base: stir in tomato paste, cook ~2–3 min.
  5. Creamy finish: pour in cream, simmer 5–7 min till sauce thickens.
  6. Season & serve: adjust salt and pepper. Serve with rice or naan.
